Practice question · Sharing the road

You're behind a school bus on a divided highway. It stops with its stop arm out. What must you do?

The rule

Drivers moving the same way as a school bus that's stopped with its stop signal out must always stop, divided highway or not, and stay stopped until the signal is withdrawn.

Traffic going the same direction as a stopped school bus must always stop, even on a divided highway, and stay stopped until the signal is withdrawn.

From the Official Florida Driver License Handbook, page 89. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
