Terms of Service
Draft for review, October 19, 2026
Who we are
Drive with Flamo is run by [LLC legal name], [address] ("we"). We're an independent study service. We're not part of the California DMV or any government agency, and they haven't approved or reviewed this site.
What's free
Anyone can take the free check-up: 20 questions, every answer explained, and your score by topic. After it you can also do a 5-question fix on a weak topic, try up to 5 of your misses again, and take one second check-up. None of this needs an account, an email address or a card.
Day 1 of your Test-Day Plan is free too: Day 1's levels, and Mistake Replay on that day. Day 1 is the day you play your first free level. It isn't a trial. We don't ask for a card, and nothing turns into a payment.
The California Ready Plan
The plan costs $14.99, paid once. It gives you lifetime access: you can use your state's car permit course for as long as Drive with Flamo offers it, even after you pass. It never renews and we won't charge you again.
It opens the rest of your Test-Day Plan to your test date: its levels, Mistake Replay after Day 1, the Exam Simulator (full practice exams), the Ready Check, the Rulebook, the Numbers and Fines drill and Final 72 hours. If you don't pass your test, there's nothing more to pay. Your plan stays open and your Test-Day Plan restarts to your retake date.
We never ask you to pay in the middle of a level, a practice exam or the check-up. After Day 1, the offer comes between levels.
Who can pay
The person paying must be 18 or older and the cardholder or account holder. In California a minor can cancel a contract they sign (Family Code section 6710), so the person paying must be an adult.
If you're under 18, an adult such as a parent can pay for you in one of two ways. You send them a pay link ("Send the bill to a parent") and they pay on their own phone. The link lasts 30 days, and your plan opens on your phone once they've paid. Or they buy the plan on the parents page and get an invite code with their receipt. The first phone that enters the code gets the plan.
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe (card, Apple Pay or Google Pay) or PayPal, on their own pages. We never see or store your full card number.
If a payment is disputed with your bank or reversed through PayPal, access to the plan ends while the dispute is open. It comes back if the dispute is closed in our favor.
Refunds
You can get a full refund within 14 days of paying, for any reason, one refund per customer. After a refund, access to the plan ends. The Refund Policy has the details.
Ready is not a guarantee
Flamo says Ready only when you've proven it on questions you hadn't seen and on two practice exams on different days. The Ready Check shows the full rule. Ready is our judgment from your answers. It isn't a promise that you'll pass. We check Ready against the test results people tell us about, and tighten it if Ready learners don't pass.
Our questions
We write our own questions from the California Driver Handbook and link each answer to the part of the handbook it comes from. Laws change and mistakes can happen, so the handbook and the DMV are the final word. If you think an answer is wrong, tap Report a mistake under its explanation, or email us, and we'll check it.
Using the plan
The plan is for your own study. Please don't copy, resell or share the questions or your access.
Limits on our liability
The site is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us.
Changes
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. Changes never take away anything from a plan you've already paid for.
Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of [state of the LLC]. Questions: [email].
