What does this sign tell you about the road ahead?

The rule

A Divided Highway Ends sign warns that the median ends ahead and traffic in both directions will share the road. Get ready to change lanes or shift your position.

An End Divided Highway sign means the median is ending. Soon oncoming cars will be on the same road as you, with nothing in between.

From the Georgia Drivers' Manual, page 30. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DDS have the final word.
