You see a pink-and-black sign on the highway. What does pink tell you?
The rule
Sign colors: yellow with black warns; yellow-green warns of school, pedestrian or bicycle activity; orange marks construction; pink marks an incident area; green gives destinations, blue motorist services and brown historical or cultural sites.
Pink-and-black signs advise and warn in incident areas. Orange and black is for construction zones.
From the Virginia Driver's Manual, section 2, page 6. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
