With a Georgia instructional permit, who must sit beside you while you drive?

The rule

From age 15 you may apply for a Class C instructional permit (CP). With it you may drive only with a licensed Class C driver at least 21, fit to take control, in the seat beside you.

A permit holder may drive only with a licensed Class C driver at least 21, fit to take control, in the seat beside them.

From the Georgia Drivers' Manual, page 8. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DDS have the final word.
