Practice question · Safety and the law

Under 18 with a provisional license, what follows a second moving-violation conviction?

The rule

Under 18 with a provisional license, a moving-violation conviction or PBJ brings: 1st, a driver improvement program; 2nd, a 30-day suspension then a 90-day work and school only restriction; 3rd, a 180-day suspension; 4th, revocation.

A second offense brings a 30-day suspension, then 90 days when you may drive only for work and school.

From the Maryland Driver's Manual, Section 9, page 49. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the MVA have the final word.
