What does this warning sign tell you?

The rule

Stop Ahead, Yield Ahead and Signal Ahead signs warn of a STOP sign, a YIELD sign or a traffic light coming up. Slow down and get ready to stop.

A Signal Ahead sign warns that traffic signals are coming up. Slow down and be ready to stop.

From the Virginia Driver's Manual, section 2, page 8. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
