Besides turning your wheels, what should you do every time you park on a hill?
The rule
On a hill, set the parking brake and leave an automatic in Park; leave a manual in Reverse facing downhill or in First facing uphill. Then turn the engine off.
On a hill, a car can roll if something fails. Set the parking brake and leave it in park, or in gear for a manual, along with turning your wheels.
From the Official Florida Driver License Handbook, page 65. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
