Which two things should you do every time you park an automatic car?
The rule
Every time you park, set the parking brake and put the car in park (automatic) or in gear (manual), as far from traffic and as close to the curb as you can.
Each time you park, set the parking brake. Put an automatic car in park, or leave a manual car in gear.
From the Maryland Driver's Manual, Section 3, page 16. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the MVA have the final word.
