You're in the left lane of an expressway at the speed limit. A faster car comes up behind you. What does Georgia law require?
The rule
Whatever your speed, you must move out of the passing (left) lane when faster traffic comes up behind you. Exceptions include heavy traffic, bad weather or hazards, exiting or turning left, and paying a toll.
Georgia's Slow Poke law says to move out of the passing lane when faster traffic comes up behind you, no matter how fast you are going.
From the Georgia Drivers' Manual, page 20. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DDS have the final word.
