Where may you never park, stop or stand?
The rule
You may never park, stop or stand: double-parked beside a parked car on the road side, on a sidewalk, in a crosswalk, in an intersection (unless signs or meters allow it), on railroad tracks, or on a bridge or in a tunnel.
You may never park, stop or stand on a bridge or in a tunnel, on railroad tracks, on a sidewalk or in a crosswalk, or double-parked.
From the New York State Driver's Manual, page 43. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
