Practice question · Parking

You park on a hill. Which way should you turn your front wheels?

The rule

After parking on any hill, set the parking brake, shift into Park (1st gear with a manual transmission) and point the wheels at the curb or the edge of the road so the car can't head into traffic.

From the New York State Driver's Manual, page 42. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
