You're parking facing downhill next to a curb. Which way should you turn your front wheels?
The rule
When you park facing downhill next to a curb, turn your front wheels toward the curb (to the right).
Downhill with a curb: turn your wheels toward the curb, so the curb catches the car if it rolls. Uphill with a curb: away. No curb: to the right.
From the California Driver Handbook, section 6, page 27. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
