How much is a Temporary Alcohol License?
The rule
After an implied-consent or BAC suspension, if you file for an administrative hearing within 30 days you may get a Temporary Alcohol License (TAL) for $100, good until the SCDMV gets the hearing results.
If you file for a hearing in time after an alcohol suspension, you may get a TAL for $100.
From the SCDMV Driver's License Manual, page 1-23. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
