Which of these is a legal place to park?
The rule
You may not double park, park on a crosswalk or sidewalk, in front of a driveway, in a bike lane, in a disabled space or its striped access aisle without a permit, or on the road's hard surface where there is no curb.
Double parking, parking in a bike lane, and parking on a crosswalk, a sidewalk or in front of a driveway are all banned. A curb space away from the corner is fine.
From the Virginia Driver's Manual, section 3, page 22. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
