Fire hydrant

How close to a fire hydrant may you park?

The rule

Don't park within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, and keep the same 15 feet from where a fire, ambulance or rescue squad station's entrance is.

Never park within 15 feet of a fire hydrant. The same 15 feet applies to the entrance of a fire, ambulance or rescue squad station.

From the Virginia Driver's Manual, section 3, page 22. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
