How close to a fire hydrant may you park?
The rule
Don't park within 15 feet of a fire hydrant. Stopping there is allowed only for a moment, to pick up or drop off passengers.
Never park within 15 feet of a fire hydrant. Crosswalks at intersections need 20 feet, and STOP signs and signals need 30.
From the Georgia Drivers' Manual, page 20. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DDS have the final word.
