Practice question · Right of way

At an open intersection with no signs or signals, you're entering a state highway from a side road. Who goes first?

The rule

At an open intersection (no signs or signals), you yield when you come onto or cross a state highway from a side road, or onto a paved road from an unpaved one.

At an open intersection, a driver coming from a secondary road onto or across a state highway yields to the highway's traffic.

From the Official Florida Driver License Handbook, page 62. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
