Road reflectors

At night, the road reflectors ahead of you shine red in your headlights. What does this mean?

The rule

If the reflectors on the lane lines shine red at you, you are going the wrong way and could crash head-on. Get into the proper lane or turn around right away.

If road reflectors glow red in your headlights, you are driving against traffic. Turn around or back out as soon as it is safe.

From the Official Florida Driver License Handbook, page 69. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
