At night, the road reflectors ahead of you shine red in your headlights. What does this mean?
The rule
Red reflectors on the road surface mark places you must not enter. Only traffic going the wrong way can see them.
Red reflectors are placed so only wrong-way traffic sees them. If they glow red in your headlights, you're going against traffic: pull over and turn around safely.
From the Virginia Driver's Manual, section 2, page 11. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
