A 19-year-old's first DUI conviction shows a BAC of 0.05. What is the shortest suspension?
The rule
Under 21, a first DUI suspends the license for at least 6 months when the BAC was 0.02 to under 0.08, and at least 12 months when it was 0.08 or more or testing was refused, with no limited permit. A second DUI means at least 18 months.
Under 21, a first DUI with a BAC of 0.02 to under 0.08 suspends the license for at least 6 months. At 0.08 or more, it's at least 12 months.
From the Georgia Drivers' Manual, page 27. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DDS have the final word.
