An officer suspects you of DUI and asks for a chemical test. You refuse. What happens to your license?
The rule
If you refuse the state's chemical testing when an officer suspects DUI, your license is suspended for at least one year, and a refusal of a blood or urine test can be used as evidence at trial.
If you refuse the state's blood, breath or urine test when an officer suspects DUI, your license is suspended for at least one year.
From the Georgia Drivers' Manual, page 47. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DDS have the final word.
