Practice question · Speed and conditions

No sign is posted. What is the speed limit on a paved two-lane road through farm country?

The rule

Unless posted, the limit is 55 mph on roads in all other areas: roads that aren't interstates, multi-lane divided highways, urban or residential streets or unpaved county roads.

A paved two-lane country road falls under all other areas: 55 mph unless signs say otherwise.

From the Georgia Drivers' Manual, page 21. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DDS have the final word.
