What does this flashing yellow light mean?
The rule
At a flashing yellow light, slow down and go on with caution; you don't have to stop.
A flashing yellow light is a warning. Slow down, watch carefully and go on. You do not have to stop.
From the Maryland Driver's Manual, Section 4, page 18. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the MVA have the final word.
