RESERVEDPARKING

When may you park in a space reserved for people with disabilities?

The rule

You may use a space reserved for people with disabilities only if your vehicle has a disability permit or plates and the person they were issued to is riding in it.

Park in a reserved disabled space only with a disability permit or plates, and only when the person they were issued to is in the vehicle.

From the New York State Driver's Manual, page 44. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
