Practice question · Sharing the road

The rule

Two motorcyclists may ride side by side in one lane, but a motorcyclist may not pass a car or truck within its lane or share a lane with any vehicle that isn't a motorcycle.

A motorcyclist may not pass or share a lane with a car, truck or other vehicle that isn't a motorcycle. Two motorcycles may ride side by side in one lane.

From the New York State Driver's Manual, page 71. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
