Where does the handbook say you should never make a U-turn or a three-point turn?
The rule
Never make a U-turn or a three-point turn on a curve, on a hill, on the highway, or where a sign bans U-turns. Save the three-point turn for a street too narrow for a U-turn when you can't go around the block.
Never turn around on a curve, on a hill, on the highway, or where a sign bans U-turns. Other drivers may not see you in time.
From the Official Florida Driver License Handbook, page 70. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
