Places you may never U-turn
A free practice question for the Massachusetts permit test, with the answer explained.

How far must you and other drivers be able to see for a U-turn to be allowed?
The rule
No U-turns where a NO U-TURN sign is posted, on a hilltop, close to a curve, or where you or other drivers can't see 500 feet.
Don't make a U-turn anywhere you or other drivers can't see 500 feet away, or at a hilltop or near a curve.
From the Massachusetts Driver's Manual, page 98. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the RMV have the final word.
