Practice question · Parking

Parking on a street in a business or residential district, how close to the curb must you be?

The rule

On a street in a business or residential district, a parked car may be at most 12 inches from the curb, unless angle parking is allowed.

In a business or residential district, keep your parked car within 12 inches of the curb, unless angle parking is allowed.

From the Massachusetts Driver's Manual, page 109. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the RMV have the final word.
