On a two-way road, passing is banned within how many feet of a railroad crossing?

The rule

Don't pass on the left with a solid yellow center line on your side, if you can't get back before an oncoming vehicle is within 200 feet, near a curve or hilltop you can't see past on a two-way road, on a two-way road within 100 feet of a railroad crossing, or, on a two-way road with your view blocked, within 100 feet of a bridge, tunnel or viaduct.

On a two-way road, don't pass within 100 feet of a railroad crossing. The same 100 feet applies near a bridge, tunnel or viaduct when your view is blocked.

From the New York State Driver's Manual, page 39. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
