The rule

Parking or standing is banned within 20 feet of a fire station driveway on its side of the road, and within 75 feet of it on the other side.

No parking or standing within 20 feet of a fire station driveway on your side, or within 75 feet of it across the road.

From the New York State Driver's Manual, page 43. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
