Facing uphillCurb

You're parking facing uphill next to a curb. Which way should you turn your front wheels?

The rule

Parking uphill next to a curb, turn your wheels toward the center of the street, away from the curb, so the back of the front tire rests against it.

Uphill next to a curb, turn your wheels toward the center of the street, away from the curb. Downhill: to the right. Uphill with no curb: to the right.

From the SCDMV Driver's License Manual, page 7-13. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
