You're 16 and fail the knowledge exam. How long must you wait to retake it?

The rule

The knowledge exam can be taken just once per business day. If you are under 18 and fail it, by law you wait a full 15 days before retaking it: fail on January 1, and the earliest retake is January 17.

If you are under 18 and fail the knowledge exam, the law makes you wait a full 15 days before you retake it.

From the Virginia Driver's Manual, section 1, page 3. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
