Practice question · Safety and the law

You're in a crash that causes injury or damage. What must you do first?

The rule

After a crash with death, injury or property damage, the law requires you to stop, call 911, *FHP or local police, give your information and help the injured. An officer writes a report for a crash with a DUI charge, death, injury, or damage that needs a tow.

After a crash with death, injury or damage, stop, call 911, *FHP or local police, turn on your hazard lights and get help for anyone hurt.

From the Official Florida Driver License Handbook, page 77. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
