What does an upright rectangular sign usually tell you?
The rule
Upright (vertical) rectangular signs are usually regulatory signs: they tell you what you must do, and you obey them the same way you obey traffic laws.
Upright rectangular signs are usually rule signs, such as speed limits or NO PARKING. Obey them as you would any traffic law.
From the Georgia Drivers' Manual, page 28. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DDS have the final word.
