An ambulance behind you has its siren and lights on. What should you do?
The rule
When an emergency vehicle comes with lights flashing and siren on, give way: pull over to the side of the road so it can get by, and keep intersections clear.
When an emergency vehicle has its lights and siren on, yield by pulling to the edge of the road so it can pass.
From the SCDMV Driver's License Manual, page 10-12. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
