An ambulance behind you has its siren and red lights on. What should you do?

The rule

When a police car, fire engine, ambulance, or other emergency vehicle comes using a siren and red lights, pull over to the right side of the road and stop until it goes by. If you're already in an intersection, keep going through it, then pull right and stop.

When an emergency vehicle comes with its siren and red lights on, it has the right of way. Pull over to the right, stop, and wait until it has gone by.

From the California Driver Handbook, section 7, page 45. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
