How close to a sidewalk wheelchair ramp may you park?

The rule

Leave at least 3 feet between your car and a sidewalk wheelchair ramp, and never park on or in front of a curb that gives wheelchair access to the sidewalk.

Keep at least 3 feet clear of a sidewalk wheelchair ramp, and never park in front of a curb that gives wheelchair access. Ramp 3 ft, hydrant 15 ft, crosswalk 20 ft.

From the California Driver Handbook, section 6, page 28. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
