You're 17. What is the lowest alcohol level that brings an automatic suspension for you?
The rule
Any driver under 21 who is stopped with a breath or blood alcohol level of .02 or higher loses their driving privilege for six months automatically. At .05 or higher, a substance abuse course is also required.
Under 21, a BAL of .02 or higher means an automatic six-month suspension. That's close to zero: even a little alcohol can do it.
From the Official Florida Driver License Handbook, page 26. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
