You are 17. What is the lowest BAC that makes it illegal for you to drive?

The rule

If you are under 21, it is illegal to drive with a BAC of 0.01% or more.

Drivers under 21 may not drive with a BAC of 0.01% or more. That is close to zero, so even a small amount of alcohol can make your driving illegal.

From the California Driver Handbook, section 9, page 73. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
