When may you drive a car in a bike lane?

The rule

You may not drive or park in a bike lane. You may only cross it to make a turn, and when you do, yield to any bicyclists in it.

Cars may not drive or park in a bike lane. You may only cross it to make a turn, yielding to any bicyclists there.

From the Georgia Drivers' Manual, page 37. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DDS have the final word.
