Left turn on red

When may you turn left on a red light?
The rule
Unless a sign forbids it, you may turn left on red from a one-way street (using its left lane) onto a one-way street whose traffic moves to your left, after a complete stop, yielding to traffic and pedestrians.
You may turn left on red only from a one-way street onto another one-way street, if no sign forbids it. Stop first and yield to anyone with a green light.
From the Georgia Drivers' Manual, page 18. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DDS have the final word.
