When may you turn left on a red light?
The rule
Unless a sign forbids it, after a complete stop at a red light you may turn left from a one-way street onto another one-way street, yielding to pedestrians and traffic.
You may turn left on red only from a one-way street onto another one-way street, if no sign forbids it. Stop first and yield to pedestrians and all other traffic.
From the Maryland Driver's Manual, Section 4, page 17. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the MVA have the final word.
