Is it legal to pass a vehicle that is stopped at a crosswalk?
The rule
You may not pass a vehicle that has stopped at a crosswalk for someone crossing. Coming up behind it, assume a person may be crossing even if you can't see one.
Never pass a car that's stopped at a crosswalk. The driver may be waiting for someone you can't see.
From the Official Florida Driver License Handbook, page 88. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DMV have the final word.
