Which side of the center island do you keep to in a traffic circle?
The rule
In a traffic circle, keep to the right of the center island, and in a circle with two or more lanes, keep to your lane.
Always keep to the right of the center island in a traffic circle, whichever exit you want.
From the Maryland Driver's Manual, Section 5, page 31. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the MVA have the final word.
