A crosswalk has no painted lines. Do pedestrians in it have the right of way?
The rule
Every corner of an intersection has a crosswalk, painted or not: it is where the sidewalk would run across the street. Pedestrians in it have the right of way.
Not all crosswalks are painted. In a marked or unmarked crosswalk, the pedestrian has the right of way.
From the Georgia Drivers' Manual, page 42. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DDS have the final word.
