Traffic light not working
A free practice question for the Georgia permit test, with the answer explained.
Independent practice site. We're not the DDS and aren't connected to any government agency.
The traffic light ahead is dark, like this. What should you do?
The rule
If a traffic signal isn't working at all, treat the intersection as if there were a STOP sign in every direction.
If a traffic light is out, stop as if there were STOP signs in every direction. Then go carefully when it is safe.
From the Georgia Drivers' Manual, page 34. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the DDS have the final word.
