Practice question · Right of way

A car is already stopped at a four-way stop when you arrive. Who goes first?

The rule

At a four-way stop, yield to the driver on your right. As at any intersection, a driver who got there before you goes first.

At a four-way stop, you give way to a driver who was there before you. The car already stopped goes first.

From the Maryland Driver's Manual, Section 3, page 14. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the MVA have the final word.
