Practice question · Signs and markings

What does the red circle and slash on this sign mean?

The rule

A sign with a red circle and a diagonal slash means the action pictured, such as a left turn or a U-turn, is not allowed.

A red circle with a red line through a picture means you may not do what is shown. This sign means no left turn.

From the Massachusetts Driver's Manual, page 86. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the RMV have the final word.
