You see this orange sign on the back of a vehicle. What does it mean?
The rule
Slow-moving vehicles, like farm tractors and construction rigs, carry an orange warning sign on the back. Slow down, take care, and leave plenty of room if you pass.
This orange sign marks a slow-moving vehicle, such as a tractor or a construction rig. Expect it to go much slower than other traffic.
From the Massachusetts Driver's Manual, page 107. This question is our own wording of that rule. The handbook and the RMV have the final word.
